La Commanderie is a 19th-century château situated on the hills of Brizay, overlooking the Vienne Valley and the town of L’Île-Bouchard. It was built in 1806 on the foundations of the Knights Templar’s Commandery, a site steeped in history. 
This charming and peacefully situated bed-and-breakfast is an ideal base for exploring the Loire region with its magnificent castles (Azay-le-Rideau, Chenonceau, Villandry, Cheverny, and many others). The centuries-old towns (Chinon, Azay-le-Rideau, Richelieu) are also well worth a visit. In addition, there is the tranquility of well-preserved nature. In the nearby city of Tours (City of Art and History), you can endlessly enjoy the medieval streets with half-timbered houses, beautiful shops, restaurants, museums, and outdoor cafes—too many to list. The immediate surroundings of La Commanderie offer plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking, canoeing, horseback riding, swimming, and fishing. The chateau is located near the Chinon wine route; you can even go wine tasting at a vineyard within walking distance. The chateau has 5 double rooms. The guest rooms are comfortable and stylishly decorated, with a fantastic view of the valley, the estate, and the vineyards. All rooms have a private bathroom. There is a large communal living and dining room where guests can gather, with plenty of space for a good conversation, a good book, or a fun game, all while enjoying a glass of fine wine. There is also a beautiful space available for various group activities such as seminars, workshops, yoga, etc. For horse lovers, there is a large pasture where your horse can graze. The chateau has 5 double rooms. The guest rooms are comfortable and stylishly decorated, offering fantastic views of the valley, the estate, and the vineyards. All rooms have a private bathroom. You can stay for 100 euros per room per night and enjoy a delicious breakfast for 12 euros per person. You can also opt for the table d’hôtes: a delicious 3-course meal with a glass of wine for 30 euros. Chateau la Commanderie is an adults-only property and pets are not allowed. The standard minimum stay is 2 nights. For a 1-night stay, a surcharge of 20 euros applies to cover cleaning and laundry costs.
